I have received a text from o2 stating that a refund is being processed but it does not say what it is for.

Due to the high number of scams around, it's best to ask O2 directly.

Never follow any links from emails or texts that you're not expecting and report anything suspicious to O2.

The opening times are:
Monday to Friday – 8am to 8pm
