I first started my new contract for my iPhone 4s in September, but because I had no credit rating, I had to pay an extra £170. It said on the site that I would get this money back after three months.
So I was wondering:
1. Do I get it back this month, as it's my third month with this contract? I have been billed, but don't have to pay till the 17th.
2. How will I get the money? Will it automatically pay for my future bills, or does it go backto my bank account?

It will be credited to your account to pay for bills unless you actually request it as a refund
just call 202 to arrange a refund
It may not be until december bill unless shown this month from the support pages
"When you join O2, we might do a credit check. Depending on the results of the check, we might ask for a deposit as security. We'll give your deposit back after you've paid three months bills on time."

I was very nearly in this position myself in that I have no loans, only one credit card in good standing and no active mortgage (it is paid off).
The credit check computer does not really have any up to date information about me other than the fact that I was a good risk while I was paying the mortgage.
It is good to know that if you are asked for a deposit that you have options on how it is returned to you and think about it this way... once you have paid your phone bill regularly, that in itself is a plus mark on your record for the future.
