Start of a new bundle

Having run out of data I checked yesterday that I had enough to start a new bundle today switched on the phone only to be told I did not have enough for the new bundle. I had £16 bal yesterday and today told I had £14 not enough for the bundle I had chosen. So on a budget I have had to chose a £10 bundle instead. Not happy!!

If you don't have enough credit for that particular bundle then you can't have it but as a side question your mobile data would have switched to the £1 web daily charge which takes off a £1 each day for data

You must have used £2 on something.
Unfortunately that's how PAYG works - credit is taken for data, calls and texts when bundle allowances are used up.
