Staff discount ending

Hi. I just received a text from O2: 'You're coming to the end of your Staff contract. We'll move you to our Refresh 4G 1GB tariff on 19/02/2017 .To upgrade, go into store to chat about your options'

I used to work for O2 before I was made redundant 😞 my contract is a refresh contract and it has ended and I get unlimited minutes, text and data and I don't pay anything. As far as I was aware my tariff can't be changed unless I upgrade. Have the rules changed?

It took 12 months before O2 realised I was no longer working for them and removed the staff tariff. Why do you have a problem with that?

A 50% discount is great but come on, you no longer work for them and expect to stay on a staff tariff?

A normal tariff then yes, you stay on it until you decide to change but a staff tariff is exactly what it says....

@jonsie no I don't have a problem with that. I was just under the assumption the tariff would only change once I upgrade again. Which I wasn't planning on doing until later on this year.
