My Sony Xperia xz1 is malfunctioning already I only got it at the end of September 2017 in a 2 year contract. Where do I stand on getting a replacement? Theres no physical damage to the phone but it won't play sound through headphones unless I download an app and manually force it to play through the earphones. When I make phone calls the screen goes blank and won't let me hang up or press any other buttons the other person has to hang up for it to go back to normal the phone has been randomly restarting a lot and sometimes it won't turn back on for hours even though it's charged up

O2 will repair not replace but we’d advise you taking to Sony directly for repairs.

Try doing a Backup in Xperia companion and then do a software repair before sending it in, it fixes so much.

I fully support the advice by @MI5 to contact Sony direct, please do not use O2 repairs. Anovo do not have the best reputation. But try the suggestion by @viridis first, he is the Sony expert on here.
