Hi @DavidS you need to get it repaired, take it to Sony for repair. Don’t use O2’s repairs.

@DavidS They should but we recommend that you go direct to the manufacturer as they don’t have a good reputation. Search the forum for threads connected to Anova who O2 use

You can, but doing a google search of the o2 community and repair or Anovo would return a large number of unhappy results.
Briefly:
Tracking not working or incorrect.
Phone not being repaired due to water damage.
Phone being returned not repaired as unable to fix.
Phone being lost in transit to/from repair.
Phone not being repaired due to other fault with phone.
.
.
I could go on, but to summarise o2's repairer is not up to scratch.

I would suggest contacting Sony UK support and getting it repaired through them.
You can go to https://mysupport.sonymobile.com/gb/
Log in and then select the repair button underneath your device, this will give you the automated process of booking in your Xperia for a repair.
Good luck

@DavidS Have you tried plugging in the charger then holding the reset button in for around a minute?
My Z5 has the same problem once but that sorted it.
