Sony Xperia Z Ultra O2 release / order date

Hi

There are several sites offering me an O2 upgrade to the Z Ultra, but the phone is still listed as coming soon from O2 themselves. I'd prefer to do it directly, in order to go onto O2 Refresh.

When will it be able to order from o2.co.uk? I know the device is released next week.

Just thought/ hoped O2 would have an ETA. I may just upgrade on one of the other sites, I'm very impatient! ha ha. Had my eye on this for months!

Just wondering if anyone knew reasons for why the Xperia Z Ultra is still listed as "coming soon" when it was announced months ago, whereas the Xperia Z1 immediately went to pre-order the day after it was announced?

The release date for the Xperia Z Ultra hasn't been announced by Sony as available yet, this will be why O2 haven't updated their availability.

When Sony announced the Z1 they announced its availability also which is why it was able to put it on sale with a set date

Well, I went ahead and placed my Z Ultra order with a third party and it's being delivered tomorrow!

Google for 'mobile phones deals'. There are several sites out there, that will offer you an upgrade on O2 with the Z Ultra, but the range of tariffs may be different to o2.co.uk.

I think O2 may just be concentrating on and pandering to their iPhone customers over the foreseeable future
