Slightly confused - what do I need to pay to leave O2 Refresh?

I just spoke with an online advisor, about leaving O2, as I wish to pay my remaining device plan then leave O2 onto a competitors SIM only deal.

The agent/advisor told me they would add my remaining tarriff to my device plan after 14 days after disconnection.

Does this actually include the tariff of every month of the normal contract end date, or will I be paying the device plan + this months tariff?

Everything you need to know about Refresh is in here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Discussions-Feedback/A-Guide-To-O2-Refresh/td-p/877701

Basically you pay off the device and cancel airtime and you are free to walk away

You don't pay the airtime after you have paid off the device plan.
All you need to do is tell them you want to cancel the airtime, but you will have to pay it for another month as this is your notice period.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Pay off the device plan the give 30 days notice for the airtime plan. Job done. There is no way it can be added to the device plan as they are totally separate. I hate it when you call/chat to someone who hasn't a clue what they are on about.

Especially when it's, y'know, O2's major unique selling point.
Surely the staff should be up to speed by now?

Obviously not if they are coming here afterwards to get people who know more than the CS staff
