Sky sim not working

Anonymous
Not applicable
I think my iPhone 6 is locked on o2. I cannot remember where I bought it from but it works with o2 and Tesco. I’ve got a sky sim but it’s not working on my iPhone

Help on unlocking here.
The link from your MyO2 is probably easiest https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Other-Products-and-Services/Unlocking-an-O2-phone-to-use-a-different-S...
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

How can you forget where you bought it 😂

Anyway follow the advice above. Have you registered on My O2?

It's free if on contract.

If you are PAYG you can, if possible, borrow a contract sim too in order to get a free unlock, otherwise £15 as per the details in link.
Make sure you are on the classic PAYG tariff though or any top up will be taken for a bundle and you won't have enough credit to pay the fee.

Doesn’t sky piggyback off o2? What was the last sim you had in the phone?

Sky uses the O2 network, true, but you need to unlock a Tesco phone to use an O2 sim, which is also the same network, so there's no guarantees on anything working unless the handset is fully unlocked.
