Simplicity tariff

Im payg customer and on a monthly £10 simplicity tarif . On my renewal date yesterday ,i only had £7 credit but was waiting for my rewards to kick in so i had enough credit for the monthly tariff,and i now have more than £10 credit . Why has my tarif not been applied to my phone or can i apply the tariff by text ? Thanks

Im told rewards do not Count towards your top up requirement for your anniversary date allowances although I have been able to claim my rewards in the past and top up by the remainder.

Ring O2 on 4445 for clarification.
