I’ve recently received my new phone with a new pay monthly sim and when i Insert the sim in my new phone it says no service

The SIM isn't activated.

O2 assume you will continue to use your old SIM.

If you want to use new SIM you'll need to do a SIM swap Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update but these are taking a while at the moment so hold off if you can.
