Can you temporarily disable a sim card? My daughter has a sim and as a punishment I want to disable it.

If you report the sim lost they will block it immediately and send you a replacement in the post. Then you merely need to call them to activate it after the sufficient punishment. Simples😉

I'm sure there are many technical ways but why not just take it out of the phone? wink

You can report it lost which will then cause it to be barred by O2, but it's not something that you can turn off and on at will.

You can ask O2 to put a bar on the phone but after a suitable punishment time you would have to call them again to remove the bar.

Why not just take the phone off her, that will hurt her more.

You'd need to turn off your wifi too as my kids use apps over wifi more than the phone and sim card.

Mmmmmm...just take the phone off her then. Hide it somewhere she would never think of looking. Dance
