Go into settings and security to set up a pin lock for the sim and the screen unlock pin can also be set up.

Default pin should be 0000 or 6666

Some help here.

If you tell us the model of phone we can give you a more in-depth guide

A very worth while thing to perform too.

You'll find that these settings are in the security part of your phone. As said if you tell us we can advise further.

Can I ask a real dumb question here @jonsie Why would you want to have a lock on your sim? Is it in case someone steals your phone and uses the sim elsewhere?

Some of these things aren't immediately obvious to me...:smileywink:

If someone steals the phone it will stop them using it in a different phone and racking up a big bill. If you have just a screen lock people can sometimes get round it by a factory reset leaving the sim vulnerable to misuse.
