Sim ONly COntract - In Store?

Anonymous
Not applicable

I got a new phone (Galaxy S8) and would like to upgrade form PAYG (£10 a month using the top up line) - to a 12 Month SIM only contract but I do not want to wait the 3 business days for this to be delivered with it being the weekend (and there is no option to keep my number at the checkout - there is a seperate form but this is confusing me).

So i am wondering if i can go into an O2 store to get a new SIM for my monthly contract and set up the direct debit from there? Rather than having to wait and be unsire on if im doing everything right.

I'm hoping I can dso this because it would be alot easier and quicker than having to go through online forms and confusion (and probably hassle when it doesnt work).

You need to call to change from PAYG to contract because it's a platform billing change and your number can only be ported by calling, but, as said, you can go in store to get your simo contract or order it online from the website.

Yrs you can set up your simo in store.
Further advice from O2 here:
Changing from PAYG to PAYM:

If a customer is on Pay as You Go and they want to move to Pay Monthly, they would have to contact Customer Service to do this. They will have to call Pay as You Go and speak to their retention team - they will process a new connection for them and then arrange the pay as you go number to be moved on to the new account.

Or

The customer can do the new connection to a new Pay Monthly account on My O2 and then call Customer Service to move the Pay as You Go number over, or they can ask for the migration of the Pay as you Go number via Web Chat.

And all this can be done in store? I dont necessarily need to call customer service to switch my SIM - the O2 people can do it?
