I recently had a PAYG sim suddenly cancelled by O2, presumably because I hadn't made a call / sent a text for 6 months. I understand thats the rule and its my fault for not using the number. My grumble, though, is that this number was linked to my account (along with other Pay Monthly and PAYG numbers) and O2 have my email address, so why couldnt they send me a reminder email giving me, say, 24 hours notice that I needed to use it or else they would cancel it? So I have now lost all the credit I had on that number. Its funny how I get loads of other emails from O2 trying to sell me stuff but they dont seem to be able to give advance notification of a sim cancellation!

Hi @Anonymous Thats the rule.. for security purposes I expect. However if you contact CS on 4445 they may be able to reinstate the number for you...

Call them , my son had his sim reactivated after 9 months when he came back to the UK. Credit was applied 24 hours later.
