If one signs up for a Big Bundle tariff does O2 require one's Credit or Debit card details and if so, why? I am with and old Text and Web Tariff and top up each  month using cash with an eTop-up card or at an ATM.

O2 would only need card details if you wanted to set up auto top ups or if you topped up online.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Thanks and I may have asked this before but I'll ask again. Can one use the existing e-top up card, as I believe this is still related to the same mobile phone number?

If the number is the same then it's fine

No problem. All as before ...unless as said you want to use your card to top up. (which I did when on PAYG) So much more convenient. it is all automated and can be done even when abroad...
