Some mobile operators in the UK usually do not accept messages from short number from EU. The short number means the push message or the SMS notification which comes from the numbers consisting about 5-6 digits.

Do O2 accept those messages?

Never had issues with short numbers from the EU on o2, but I do know some providers in Europe have trouble sending to UK numbers (or any number outside the country of operation).

In theory they should work fine but largely depends on the sending network.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
