Sharing my personal details

Anonymous
Not applicable
I've recently completed my contract with o2 and I am getting sales calls from carphone warehouse saying that now I'm out of contract they want to sell to me. Now my contract is between o2 and myself and it's confidential and for o2 to share my personal details is against the data protection act. What's going on?
I'll be seeking redress on this matter.

Unless you have opted out they will sell your details to 3rd parties.
They are not confidential in this world anymore.....
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

O2 share your details with CPW and trusted partners. They have access to O2's data base. These others will also sell your details on to anyone, it's valuable information for these companies. Privacy has long since gone I'm afraid.

It's not against the data protection act if you didn't tell them you didn't want your details shared. When you take out a contract and don't read the small print you allow it. It's not specific to O2. They all do it. We're not condoning it. We see this kind of post all the time.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
