I want to start sharing data with a family members O2 mobile. I have contacted 202 & O2 Gurus and no one can answer what i need to do!

 

I am on a tariff which allows sharing data (they could confirm that) but as to how to share the data i have no ides. Aftert googling it seems i have to be the lead device and then i can add their number but i cant find put where to make me a lead device.

 

I also found another thread with said if my tariff is after 2014 (which it is) then i just need to change the bolt on to a sharer bolt on but again in My O2 there is no sharer bolt on i can swap too.

 

My other family member is about to upgrade but i dont want to do this if i need to sort the share issue first.

@SarahR2908 they need to upgrade to a sharer tariff when they upgrade. They need to do this in store only.

Ive just read another post which says you cant be lead unless you set that up when you started the contract (although my tariff says i can share data) Can i still do this when they upgrade or do i have something missing on my contract?

As long as it says you can share data in your MyO2 you’re ok. It’s the other contract that needs to be set up to be able to share from you.
