Hi there just got a phone for my son, how do I set my phone as main phone for shared data plan , and how do I give him data ?

Hey thanks tried going thru it all , but it says I shud see boxes beside my two phones n tick the boxes to allow data sharing to start but no boxes to tick ? Any ideas
