I have 3 accounts with o2, two of which are activated to share data (on the list they have a picture of a phone with a star inside under the list of able to share data) however I cannot seem to share data, there is no option to click on anything, does anyone know how I can start sharing with the activated devices? Thank you

You need to have sharer plans on the phones that you want to share data with.

You are capable of sharing, but it's not setup to do so yet.

Your partner needs to change to a share plan tariff.

This means you need to call customer service or check if they can change their tariff in their MyO2 http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2

O2 advertising campaign: Sharing data with family members is a breeze.

Reality: Sharing data is a mind-meltingly labyrinthine nightmare.

I just want to be able to share data between the 3 phones that all show as eligible for data sharing but there is no box to tick for any of them. They are all set up and confirmed. Seems like o2 have advertised this but don’t give the functionality

The shared phones need their own specific contracts to enable sharing.

Hi MI5, thanks for the reply. My three phones do have their own contracts, they even have different payment dates. They seem to be fully eligible and set up and o2 even show them as able to share but there aren’t any boxes to tick when I try to share the data

You need to call O2

You can use Skype to call.

All numbers including Skype are in this guide

Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

Advice from an O2 Guru regarding a way to get through:

When you call, you will be asked for the reason you are calling,

Stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.

Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options

Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to an advisor.

Press Upgrade, Lost/Stolen or Fraud if you have to.

8am is the best time to call

Please read the guide.

They need to be specific shared data contracts.

All detals and prices in the guide.
