I have a Sony XZ Premium nd call waiting does not work, even though I have it enabled!

If the reboot doesn't work then try the following GSM codes to reset it

Activate: *43#
Cancel: #43#
Status: *#43#

On the Sony forum they suggest if none of this works, you may need a new sim.
