Hi. I have recently purchased a new phone and placed the SIM card I have from my O2 contract into my new phone - all is working okay. I’m thinking about selling the phone I have on that contract due to it not being needed. I will continue to pay the monthly payments because I’m still using the sim. Is it okay to sell the phone?

@mich01 If you're on a Refresh contract, technically you can't do that, but if you sell the phone and pay off the device part of the contract you can carry on using the air time part of the contract with your new phone. The other alternative is to take a new sim only contract, which may be less than what you're paying for air time at the moment. You would be able to keep your number, if that's what you're concerned about.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Technically the legal answer is no - until the phone is paid off it is not yours @mich01.
However, what you are suggesting has probably taken place before and will probably happen again.
I would guess that as long as the payments continue (or the device is paid off) o2 really aren't that bothered...
