Hi,

 

I received this morning a text from this number +44 7957498235 saying that O2 is unable to process my latest payment. The link sends me to the O2  site and asks me for credit card and bank account number.

 

Before I proceed could you please confirm that this a genuine request from the O2 team? Funnily enough, I do not see any similar messages on my O2.

Block the number and report it free to 7726.

Just received that text today from a different number. This time it was 07375560387

O2:We were unable to process your latest payment. In order to avoid fees, please update your information via:[link removed]

The website looks genuine and could easily fool people. I entered fake details and it redirects you to the official O2 site after you have finished.

I’ve already reported it to report@phishing.gov.uk
