Samsung Repair

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi yesterday I had to send my samsung galaxy s7 off for repair as the battery had swollen to twice its size and the back had started to come away on the volume side and there was a centimetre gap and it wouldn't hold charge even after being on charge for 12 hours.

I cannot track my repair as it says the repair number is invalid, I was just wondering if anyone knows how long it will take to be repaired and returned to store.  The girl in the shop said it could take upto 3 weeks I'm hoping this isn't the case as I'm paying for a service I'm not recieving.

Thanks in advance

At this time of year, it could take longer.

A lot of Anovo  staff may also be taking annual leave just now.

Hi everyone spoke to 02 and they gave me the tracking number and got a text message saying the engineer was working on it yesterday.

Today I've logged on to the repair and it says "The device needs to be exchanged and the swap device has been requested". Does this mean my phone is beyond repair?

It certainly sounds like it @Anonymous. They have requested a swap device so they can't repair it. If you want confirmation you could always contact customer services again. Also ask how long it will be before you receive your exchange.

@Cleoriff I'm speaking to 02 now and they are saying it will be 7 working days before I recieve my exchanged device surely this isn't right?? If i was to upgrade I would get the device the next day or there and then if I went into an 02 store??

I think this is because they are out of stock (hazarding a guess) Sadly over the Christmas period this will always be an issue. (This would probably be the same if anyone chose to upgrade online at this time of year..unless they went instore to do it)
