It's not possible.
If one of you has an iPhone you need to check your number in Settings >Phone >My number as this can give issues with messages.

It's not possible to have the same number. There must a problem with the settings of one or both of the phones.

@TylerRiver I agree with the others that it isn't possible, but if you think you're correct, then you both need to speak to customer service.
