SIM

After trying my sim in a car boot purchased old blackberry curve phone to see if this was locked or would work on my existing 02 sim when returning it back to my Iphone it just says no sim....cannot get it to register at all!

Tried reinserting, checking right way round etc..etc....switching off then on...and still nothing!

Is problem likely to be with the mechanical conection with the sim holder and connection to sim or is there a network bar/blocking protocol that may have kicked in depending on the blackberry network.....or if the car boot phone was stolen for example?

There is nothing the phone can do to block the sim but it could damage it if the voltage put through it was too high.
Check first for any coincidental network issues http://status.o2.co.uk/ but if not, pop into your local o2 shop for a free replacement sim card.
