I have an oldish micro sim (O2) in samsung s5 (no nano sim cut out). I have just bought a samsung S10 which takes a nano sim - this phone was bought from O2 and came with an O2 PAYG sim. I want to use my existing number and pay monthly contract on the new phone. Can I transfer (swop) my existing phone number onto the PAYG sim? Will this (i).automatically change this sim to pay monthly with the number change (which is what I need)...or, (ii). will it mean my existing number then becomes a PAYG number (which I don't want). If (ii), do I need a pay monthly sim with nano cut out? If so, any ideas how  I can get one as O2 are not taking calls for these issues via 202?

@Alast

Contract and PAYG Sims are different so you can't swop between the two.

You need to call unfortunately https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Other-Products-and-Services/Coronavirus-Covid-19-Community-Help-and-Su...

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

No.
Pay monthly and pay as you go sims are different and you can't move across.
If you contact o2 customer services they can send you out a new pay monthly sim.
All of the ways how are on the link below:
https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Other-Products-and-Services/Coronavirus-Covid-19-Community-Help-and-Su...

Then once you have it you can follow the swap my sim process:

Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).
