SIM card stopped working

Hi, basically yesterday my phone was diverting all my incoming calls to voice mail so I thought maybe change the SIM card. I had a new SIM card sent from O2 a month ago with my last upgrade and decided to activate it. I went ahead and when the reception was gone from the old sim I switched to the new one. I see full reception bars on my phone but now I can not make or send and texts and also I can not receive any phone calls or texts. Any idea how to sort this out? Help please? I am without a phone for 2 days now

Well, I called them and apparently they don’t have enough staff and I cannot reach someone from technical team
