Hi,
I have a couple of sim cards linked to my account.
One particular SIM I haven't used in about 18 months and never thought to look for it.
However, I have just noticed that that sim/number has been used in Ghana and racked up almost £250 over the last two bills!!
I have tried to tell O2 that this is absolutely fraudulent, and I have absolutely no idea who it is, or how they got the sim/number.
O2 offered me some credit against the £250, but I would still end up paying a lot of money for something I didn't use.
I have had to cancel my direct debit for O2 bill paying as I don't want these payments being taken...I literally can't afford that, let alone it being nothing to do with me.
Is there any other help that I can get with this?
I could understand O2 being a bit suspicious I was lying if it was being used somewhere else in the UK, but GHANA??!!

Unfortunately the liability is yours.
O2 will waive any charges if reported lost within 24 hours Guide: Lost or Stolen O2 Device? - How to Report it Outside of that the costs are the account holders.
You can only plead to O2 for help with paying the bill.
Cancelling the direct debit will result in debt collectors hounding you for payment and a black mark on your credit score.
