Hi @mtb949

If it's a 30 day sim only you have to give 30 days notice.

If it's a 12 month sim only contract then you will be liable for the costs remaining on your monthly tariff (for however many months you have remaining)

A guide on cancellation here

https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/Cancelling-Your-Contract-A-Guide/ba-p/566774

Hope that helps and welcome to the forum Welcome

@mtb949 this isn't O2 and we do not have access to your account details.

You can upgrade at anytime from any SIM only deal without costs but to leave may incur charges.

If you are leaving and need to keep your number you need a PAC https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/How-to-get-your-PAC-2017-Update/ba-p/1052278 and you can always call customer services on 202 for any clarification on costs etc.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.
