I opened a text message, belived it was from 02 - it stated: 02 - We were unable to process your latest payment. In order to avoid fees, please update your information via: [link removed for safety]
frpm phone number +44 7983 803189
Yes I know it was a stupid thing, but I clicked on the link! What should I do now? Please help, I'm not computer savey!
I've tried working through 'Help' pages on )2 but its just no use, totally un user friendly!!
I found it asking me to 'forward' the scam text to 7726, I can't do it, I don't know how to forward and when I do try and use 7726 I get a failed message!
Please help!!

It's a well known scam.
Block the number and do not follow any links.
Forward the scam text to 7726 - It's free.

Altthough you clicked on the link, as long as you didn't enter any details, you will be fine.
Edited to add..to forward a text, just long press on the text and you will see a forward option.

If you just opened it, there's no risk.
If you entered any O2 account details, you should change your password immediately.
If you entered any bank details, call your bank and let them know,
If you can't forward the text, it may be due to a spend cap on your account, but I wouldn't worry about it as there are hundreds of reports already.

Please do report it if you can, as o2 are building a picture of these incidents.
As these scams are going back months, if not years and many hundreds already reported, they don't seem to be doing much with their "picture".
Maybe they're just admiring it !
