SCAM PHISHING TEXT MESSAGE ALERT!!!!!!

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi there, I got a text message earlier telling me my monthly bill payment was overdue...odd considering I know it's paid already....I was being asked for a couple of pounds more than it usually is...so...what's going on...??

Turns out it's a SCAM.... be very aware of ANY texts coming from O2-UK or O2:UK instead of O2UK....it asks for you to call with your card details ready too....

Be careful!! x

These do show up from time to time, as long as you didn't click the links you'll be ok.

Forward it to phishing@o2.com

Someone else reported a similar text earlier then blamed O2 for infecting their computer with a virus....
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Seems to be a lot of evil going around today. Texts, phone calls, the lot.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Just forward it to 7726 (= spam). It's free.

O2 will deal with it.

It's not a scam. It was an error from O2's end where the system incorrectly sent the text messages to the customers. I got it aswell, and about 5 automated phone calls.

O2 acknowledged the issue and is sorted now.
