Roaming not working in Portugal

I’m in Portugal for a week and I have no network reception. I’ve tried to manually select one of the operators here and have also changed the mobile date APN to mobile.o2.co.uk but nothing is working.

@Glory1 @Cleoriff, hi guys!

Thanks for your suggestions! My roaming data was on and this was the reason why I was sort of panicking.

In the meantime, I used the O2 live chat and they were most helpful. They suggested that I reset the network settings and, after turning my phone back on, I could finally get reception. Go figure...

Anyways, I thought I would tell you for future reference. Thanks for your help!

Hi @JPerdi

 

Check that data roaming is switched on. If it is then I would contact Customer Services to check there isn't a roaming bar on your account

I think @JPerdi has done everything they can to enable roaming (as long as they have made sure it is switched on).

 

It sounds very much like a roaming bar, so they should contact customer services as per @Glory1's advice and ask them to check

 

All calls to CS are free ...so do that as soon as possible and good luck.
