Currently overseas and have the following issues: can call out but can’t receive calls.

Can receive txt msgs but can’t send txt msgs.

Contacted O2 and best they can tell me is they will look into it .. 3 - 7 days .. meanwhile I’m paying for a service that’s not being provided and I pay the cost of calling O2 to fix the issue .. unfortunately the people in uk trying to call me don’t have internet calling availability.

I have been an O2 customer for almost 30 years, in a word service from O2 is appalling

I can update the latest, service is back working normally, yet to receive any technical explanation as to the glitch, perhaps, 02 without notification put a cap on my monthly spend, however I had not been aware of this....I am a pay monthly user ... aka my subscription is paid upfront via DD.

I did receive an MMS from O2 advising I had spent X .. I immediately made a bank transfer to the value of X.

Bizarre ... the issue disappeared on the same day my bill was issued for payment !! O2 deny this was the issue .... however complaints team have offered a token of 30 GBP for inconvenience .... my request is that all calls, from/to O2, whilst I am overseas are paid for by O2 .... my reasoning, if there was no issue ... these calls would not be necessary ... I await a response from solutions team .... meanwhile I have put the issue to legal and in turn they will consult with Ombudsman.

Meanwhile I keep receiving calls from O2 technical (charged to my account, 3GBP per minute) to enquire if I can receive calls whilst I am overseas, based on the fact I answered the call ... seems a mute question from the caller .... suffice to say, after 30 + years with BT/O2 I will be changing provider when I return to UK 

Will update on the end result when I get it.
