Hi,

I have a Samsung s22+ and I'm on pay monthly with roaming data.

I'm in Australia and my phone says it's connected to Optus but I get constant notifications to connect to the network.

It then shows 5g bars but the Internet won't work.. I've got data on, roaming on. Checked all the other settings but nothing works unless I use WiFi..

Please help?!!

@StuckinAust

Some things to try:
Manually search for another network
Reboot the phone
Turn off 5g in network settings
If you have an iPhone change your data APN to "mobile.o2.co.uk"
If still not working then contact O2 to remove the Roaming bar on your account.
If you message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.

Have you tried manually connecting to a Forbidden Network?

Sometimes necessary to get a connection in USA, so .. worth a shot, @StuckinAust.

  • Forbidden Networks: If you're struggling to connect to any of the roaming networks showing as available, another option is to try and manually connect to any networks showing as forbidden.
