Roaming in Australia being charged loads not sure why? PAYG

Hi there,

I'm curious because I'm being charged daily for 'something' as my balance goes down each day everytime I turn my phone on and YET I have only sent about 4 text messages from it since I got here? Texts are 50p so that's £2 - what's the rest? I have no answermachine and no one has called me on it?

Any idea why obviously it's payg so I have no bill to view?

Switch off mobile/cellular data as well as roaming in the phone settings. Sounds as though you are connecting to the web. You will still be able to use wifi with these switched off.

It may be cheaper in the long run to use a local SIM card if your phone is unlocked.
