I am currently abroad and about 3 weeks ago, my roaming access stopped and now I can only make Emergency Calls. I don't want to make or receive calls but do need to receive texts, especially access codes when required. My husband's phone (same model, also O2) is still connecting to a local network so I don't understand why mine isn't.

How long have you been abroad? You are only allowed 63 days in any 4 month period.

Other than that, you need to contact O2. Use your husbands phone.

Advice from an O2 Guru regarding a way to get through:
When you call, you will be asked for the reason you are calling,
Stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to an advisor.
Press Upgrade, Lost/Stolen or Fraud if you have to.
8am is the best time to call
