I keep reading in the press that free minutes have been made unlimited for those who have limited call minute contracts. I've noticed that I'm very close to going over my 500 minute allowance. Can someone please confirm that there won't be call charges applied (UK calls to landlines and UK mobile numbers)

Thanks

Yes all pay monthly contracts have been given unlimited minutes.
Pay Monthly: Lifting the limits on voice call allowances for our Pay Monthly consumer customers. UPDATE: We are extending unlimited calls to standard UK numbers for another 30 days till 31st May. Your tariff won’t change, these calls will just show as free of charge on your bill and in My O2.
