I have a 02 pay monthly contract for many years. In February 2023 I got a letter from o2 saying that I was behind on payments on a new account. I rang straightaway to say I knew nothing about the new account and that it was fraud. I was told it would be referred to the fraud team, that I should try not to worry about the letters, ignore them and that it would be sorted, possibly taking a couple of months. I have rung multiple times, I keep being told it will be escalated in 48 hours. Four months later I still haven’t heard from the fraud team and my case has been referred to a debt collection company. I don’t know what else to do. Ringing o2 gets me nowhere.

The fraud team, may have completed the investigation and decided you owe the money, but no one on here will know, I would call Payment Management on 0800 902 0217 and explain the situation to them..
