Replacement sim in spare phone - No internet mobile data

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I lost my phone the other week, reported this and a replacement Sim was sent and activated. I have put it in my spare phone which is a Windows phone. My lost phone was an iphone 5C. Since the sim has been activated I can make and receive text and phone calls. However, I cannot get any internet data when just using mobile data.

I have had a look online for solutions (one of which seems to be to put in the correct apn settings). But so far nothing. I did wonder if it was due to my monthly contract being based on an iPhone rather than the windows phone I am using at the moment and whether that makes a difference?

Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks slight_smile

Normally you would be able to use the iPhone data package on a windows phone Ok so try texting the word Active to 2020.
Save and apply the settings that get sent back and reboot the phone.
If this doesn't work see if you can change your data type in your MyO2 or give customer service a call to change it to standard data for you.

Sounds like you may need to.
If you struggle tonight, try around 8-8.30 in the morning, as it's generally quieter then.
