Replacement Sim

Hi,

When the network was upgraded at the start of this month I had to have a new sim.

I went through the swap process via text ,however the sim failed to work & the phone does not recognise there is a sim card active.

I called cusomer service ,who checked the sim card no.,which they said showed it was active.

They then said they would send a new 'blank sim' out ,and to use that via the 'swap sim' process.

The problem is I can't now do that via text or online as I can't send or receive the codes, as the sim is showing as not active.

I tried to call the cusomer service most of the day but have been unable to get though.

Does anyone have any suggestions/help.

Btw.I haven't tried the 'blank sim' in the phone as I assumed it would need to be activated? Or am I wrong about this?

Thanks,

Rich

You need to call O2.

All numbers are in this guide

You can use Skype from your PC to call the free numbers if you have no phone available

Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

Advice from an O2 Guru regarding a way to get through:

When you call, you will be asked for the reason you are calling,

Stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.

Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options

Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to an advisor.

Press Upgrade, Lost/Stolen or Fraud if you have to.

8am is the best time to call

Hi,

I already went through that process & tried to call the cusomer service most of the day but have been unable to get though.

That's why I thought I'd post in here. If that's the only option, just have to try again I guess.

Thanks,

Rich
