Replace payg sim with simo

I currently have a simo deal with o2 but need a new phone. So can i buy  a o2 payg phone from cpw and replace the payg sim with my o2 simo

I bought my phone from CPW (sim free and unlocked) and I went on a sim only tariff with O2 https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/sim-cards

Yes, you can as all CPW phones are unlocked.
The only thing you may need to do is swap to the correct sized sim card which any o2 shop will do for you.

Thanks for the replies but may be i did not explain myself clearly.

I am not buying a unlocked phone but a O2 payg phone as this is cheaper than buying an unlocked version.

What I need to know is if i buy the O2 payg phone can I put in my O2 sim only (sim that was in my old phone)

If you are buying any phone from CPW (except latest iphone) it will be unlocked so you can put your sim in this if it fits the phone you are buying

Don't forget o2 will do you a sim swap for free if required.
Don't use the payg sim as your contract sim has different settings on it.
