I recently got a new sim
And I need to add my student discount.
The store guy told that I can do this by sending my discount code from unidays to 61202.
But I m getting the following message as reply "O2: Sorry we didn't recognise that. Please check your keyword and try again."
Kindly help me to add my discount to my plan.

All in the link above, @pravesh -
Student discount
To claim your student discount text your code to 61202 from any mobile. You will receive a confirmation text back that says you will be notified when your request is processed.
Help page here for students on studentoffer (follow the link for details on how to sign up to UNiDAYS).
If the short code fails, disable dial assist in phone settings.
I've also seen this happen on SMS short codes, eg for INFO or BALANCE or Priority rewards: delete the number from your phone address book, key it in anew as you send the SMS, @pravesh. Good luck!

Are you sure you have a device that is included in the offer as per the link above, @pravesh?
Eg: "If you’re buying a device that has a free airtime promotion, you won’t be able to add the discount."

Are you using the right code for the right offer, and did you do the order in store or online???
These are the current offers on Unidays
I do not work for o2 or any VMo2 /Telefonica/Liberty Global Company
