I am going around in circles getting diffrent answers and so confused can the following question be answered clearly by someone...

WHEN ON O2 REFRESH AND I HAVE PAID THE DEVICE OFF DO I HAVE TO GIVE 30 DAYS NOTICE TO CANCEL THE AIRTIME PLAN OR CAN I JUST LEAVE AND GET A PAC CODE AND JOIN SOMEONE ELSES NETWORK

Thankyou for clearing this up..as good you dont have to give 30 days notice for airtime plan once device is paid off ..thanks again

Also the phone i am cancelling is my sons whose going abroad and does not want to keep his phone number and is not getting another phone here .do i still need a stak code to kill number

In that case just ring up and and cancel, as a STAC can only be used when entered on a different network, as it kills off the o2 account. 

If you are not joining a different network it will do nothing.

If i dont need a stac or pac code as not moving to a new network keeping phone as spare ..device is paid off ..how soon can o2 terminate airtime contract etc

As soon as you tell them, I once had airtime terminated at the same time as the device plan was paid off.
