Hi all

This is my first Apple Watch and I haven’t had any issues setting it up other than I get the below message when trying to connect to the mobile data. I have tried calling o2 and obviously they’re crazy busy at the moment and it just says bye. I need assistance and not sure what to do now if any one has advice?

Oops something went wrong, please try again or call 202 quoting reference 15.

Thanks

Many others are having the same problem

We think there is a problem with watch data and can only suggest you try it later or even tomorrow

Everything is taking longer due to the lockdown. Call centres and social distancing means limited staff to handle all the queries. Patience needed I'm afraid.

I have the same code, 15 and my phone says o2.

I have previously been on o2 with the same watch and phone and it worked perfectly however it ate my battery so I cancelled after my 6 month free trial. I then went to the dark side (three) and just returned as they are 5hit!

When I tried to sync the data plan as I did before I got the 15 error.

I spoke with o2 and they initially told me that there was still a old watch profile on my account that needed to be removed and passed my case to the network team.

The network team phone the next day and said that was rubbish, and contact customer services again. I did and then they have raised another case as error 15 is a known error but would not say what it was. They said it should take up to a week to fix.

I will update if I find anything out.

We were told this issue was fixed yesterday....
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Oh ok, is it a instant fix ie, do they just need to do something at there end?

I’ve reset my whole phone and watch back to factory, set them up as new and tried it today but still no success.

Does anyone know why the problem is and which department is fixing it?

Cheers

@JimSlip

Unfortunatlely Apple keep the error codes close to their chest and even looking at some of my enterprise tools, it looks like the Cellular Apple watch error codes are only shared between Apple and the Networks.

This is worth a try though:
Unpair your Appple Watch from your iPhone.
Turn off the Apple Watch and leave it powered off for at least three hours.
Disable Wi-FI on your iPhone.
Pair your Apple Watch to your iPhone and set it up as a new device (do not restore from backup).
Select “Add Data Plan” when prompted.
- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK
