Hi all,
In early 2024, we were told that anyone who joined after 8th Feb 2024, would not have their mobile plan increased until April 2025.
Considering that O2 has already announced that mobile plan's will be increasing by £1.80 from April 2025, does anyone know what the "join date" for 2025 is, where new plans (taken out after this date) would not have their prices raised until April 2026?
I wish take out another new sim (on my existing account), but I'd rather wait until the "join date" has passed, so the price increases next April.
@Dave-O2 hoping you might be able to help?

Actually, last year was late Jan or early Feb (can't remember actual date, but was very ealy), historically, it has always been March 25th.

Last year's was 08-Feb-2024: https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly/RPI-2024/m-p/1694840/highlight/true#M271109
Leaving it to the last minute this year due to the switch from RPI+3.9% to OFCOM-mandated fixed amount method and any of those "you can leave with no penalty" promises made to many, I suspect...

uSwitch are now advertising the new O2 deals won't increase until April 2026.
However when you pass through to the O2 site to complete the purchase, there's no specific confirmation of this -- simply that price will increase every April.

It does if you read the contract T&C's when you complete the order.

Thanks, yes you are right - I didn't progress that far through initially.
They have confirmed to me on Twitter/X that any new contracts from today onwards won't attract a price rise until April 2026.
