Problems with upgrading Pay Monthly to Refresh

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi
Just wondering if anyone can help me.

On he 5th August I paid £250 to come out of my Pay Monthly contract and take up one of o2's Refresh deals. I ended up sending the phone back under the 7 days cooling off period and O2 says they received it back fine. I asked for my £250 back on the 12th August but still haven't received it. Additionally I want to go back onto my old pay monthly tariff with the old contract end date I had before. Is that possible? And when will I receive m refund?

I've been passed from pillar to post and can't get any proper answers!

Thanks guys

I have very bad news for you.

c. Understand and agree that if you change your mind you won't be able to go back to your previous airtime tariff or get a refund on your Speed to Refresh Fee. However, you'll still have the right to change your mind about the phone or cancel completely as set out in paragraph 8 below.

Hi.

Your old tariff would have been wound up now I believe hence the amount you paid to refresh.

You need to again ring 02 on 202 to further your request.

And put your issues in writing here.

Hope all goes well.

Cancelling the new contract is ok but cancelling your cancellation may not be.

You old contract will have gone forever and you can still take out a new one so you're no worse off.

They said they will refund my money but still waiting since the 12th. Also I would like my contract end date to be put back to my old pay monthly end date. Can that be done?

If that money was a deposit for a new contract then you will get it back ok, but not if it was part of a new Refresh deal.

Your old contract has been closed so I doubt you can return to it.

Best take this up directly with O2.

Ouch !

Maybe some haggling with Customer Services on 202, can be done to get some good out of this for the OP !

As the OP has stated in their post "They said they will refund my money but still waiting since the 12th."

Lets hope their bending the rules for them.
