Just thanking O2 for the price increase on my contract, enjoy the extra money until October since you will not be retaining this customer I will be changing providers as soon as my contract is up. You can spend the additional money attracting a new customer

Maybe but they don't appear to apply them since looking at my old supplier I can get more data for the same price that I was paying 2 yrs ago (Text and Airtime are unlimited)

Yes if you change every year you do tend to get more for your money and RPI wouldn't affect you. I changed in December and got 100GB for the same price I was paying for 25GB. I'm still hit with 35p price increase.

There's always deals which mean you can get more for less, as I've said above.
I don't change provider - I just wait for the deals and switch tariff.

Won't break the bank though I'm sure.

Whaqt I'm saying is that it was too good a deal to miss, the same deal may not be available come April/May. The increase is piffling and not something that bothers me in the slightest.

Looking at my old provider I can get more data for the same price I was paying 2 yrs ago - texts and calls are unlimited, so I doubt they apply the increases to sim only

They do for those in contract. O2 do the same.

That's why you have to change tariff every year.

According to the RPI link provided by @Cleoriff, MMS charges are increasing too, making the case for using WhatsApp or FB Messenger even stronger.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

I'm one of those who has a sim only contract. I also wait for deals and am paying less now for more data. RPI is usually pennies only .

I accept that prices go up so not an issue - but my eye for  neat and tidyness gets offended by it going from a nice neat £25.00 to a messy £25.67!
