Premium Number call not made from my handset

I have been charged (a relatively small amount) for a call to a premium number 08444773212788 which was not made from my handset (the handset was in another room being charged while I was watching TV at the time recorded for the call).

How could this has happened and what can I do to stop it happening again.

I couldn't ask on 202 because of their restricted service at the moment.

Have you called anyone who is a patient in the hospital @PeterC 

It's a UK bedside phone number

Solved the problem!

The date and time of the call was not when I thought it was.  When I checked my call list I could see that I made a "trouser pocket" call to a completely garbled phone number not even in my contact list.

I pity the poor patient that may have received my call when I was digging the garden!
